In honor of the new movie, Disney’s Descendants: Wicked Wonderland. I’ve decided to write a review of the first Descendants movie, made in 2015. Imagine that all your favorite Disney animated movie characters had a place of their own and could have children, from heroes to villains. The couple who ruled the place called Auradon were Beast and Belle, who had a son named Ben, who is next in line for the throne. Ben decided to invite the Villain Kids over so they could choose their own paths for once, without following their parents’ plans like those of Maleficent, Jafar, Cruella De Vil, and the Evil Queen. Actually, the story is set around these four children: Mal, Evie, Jay, and Carlos. So this movie is a fine example of choosing your own path and not a path that you are forced on by anyone else, like you might have to take over the family business, but you really want to follow your dreams of becoming a writer or actor. Whenever I feel uncertain about what to do, I tell myself: “Make the right choice, take the right path, and your future will be bright.” So for this movie, I’d give it an A++++++++ for showing us that we can become who we really are meant to be by listening to our hearts and letting them guide us towards the right path that we want to be on.
