Austin & Ally is an American comedy sitcom, and it lives up to the name. The series is about two musicians, Austin Moon and Ally Dawson, who are very different singers and songwriters. Austin Moon likes taking a chance to sing on stage, but doesn’t know how to write a song. Ally is an extraordinary songwriter, but suffers from stage fright until later in the next season. The series also introduces their best friend, Dez, and Trish. Dez creates and directs the videos, while Trish manages all of Austin and Ally’s gigs. The series is spectacular, and the actors portray their characters wonderfully. The series features amazing songs performed by Austin, Ally, or both in duets. The series tells us that it is scary sometimes to follow your dreams and passions in what you want to do in your life, but like the first song that Austin and Ally sang, you’ve just got to take a chance and listen to your heart, because it is never wrong in guiding you through your life. For this series, I give it an A- for demonstrating how to conquer our fears, break down walls, and rise to the challenge to show the world who you truly are.
