Disney’s Return to Oz is a sequel to The Wizard of Oz (1939) and is a dark fantasy. Now, this movie might give kids nightmares for life with scary creatures and the evil Gnome King. The story continues with Dorothy and her adventures back to Oz. This time, when she returns, the Emerald City is in ruins, and the people have turned to stone. I wouldn’t recommend this movie due to its many terrifying moments that will haunt your dreams forever. For this movie, I give it a C- for being a dark fantasy instead of a typical Disney film. It should have been enjoyable for everyone, not terrifying.
