In honor of Disney Pixar’s Inside Out 2 coming out soon, I’ve decided to write a review of the first movie. Inside Out is one of the greatest movies I have ever seen developed by Pixar besides Toy Story. Inside Out takes you inside of what our emotions are like from inside your head. The story starts with Riley Anderson’s emotions: Joy, Sadness, Anger, Disgust, and Fear. All are important to Riley and have an important role in trying to protect or help her with everyday situations. We get to see many things about how our minds work with memories, personality, imagination, and dreams. Riley has just moved from Minnesota to San Francisco, California, and all of Riley’s emotions are working a lot to help her adjust to her new surroundings. On the first day of school, Joy and Sadness along with the core memories that run Riley’s Personality Islands, got sucked out of headquarters leaving only Anger, Disgust, and Fear in charge of helping Riley fit in. Inside Out is the most connected movie I’ve watched. It has many laughs and it has some scenes that will make you cry. Like I said before in this review, each emotion is just as important as the other, like Fear protects Riley from dangerous things that are around her. Disgust keeps Riley from being poisoned physically and socially, Anger helps keep things fair in Riley’s life, Sadness’s job is to alert others when she gets too emotional, and Joy’s job is to keep Riley happy. So for this movie, I give it an A+ for showing us that each emotion that we have is important in our everyday lives.
