Top Gun: Maverick is the second movie in the Top Gun series and is a real shine through. Top Gun: Maverick is a terrific movie. It had a lot to offer including great drama, adventure, thrills, and action. The film is the sequel to the first Top Gun movie that was released in 1986. This movie is a great example of being a team and what it means to be a leader. The movie itself represents many who try to do even the hardest things in life like saving a country, going to war, or even saving your fellow teammates from certain death. The film can open our eyes to see what Top Gun flyers see in real life and the fears they have to go through to protect their country while constantly facing death. The story follows Captain Pete “Maverick” Mitchell (Tom Cruise), who graduated from the academy 30 years ago. Mitchell returns to Top Gun to train some new recruits and one of them is his deceased best friend, Nick “Goose” Bradshaw’s son, Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw (Miles Teller). Rooster blames Mitchell for his Academy Application being dropped and for his father’s death. The film shows us to follow our instincts, but also that if we do something without a plan, then we would be in big trouble. It teaches us that you must always think before you can take action while trusting yourself and your team to follow through when things go wrong. For this film, I give it an A+ because it opens our eyes to many great wonderful things in life. Here is a link to get the movie on DVD. https://amzn.to/4cOkmVP
