“Once Upon A Time” is a TV series that is based off fairy tale characters from Disney and literature. Some of these characters include Snow White, Prince Charming, Rumplestiltskin, the Evil Queen, the Dwarves, Maleficent, Belle, Captain Hook, Merlin & Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde. Now this series has many twists and turns that show us that these aren’t the same fairy tales we know about. Some of the heroes are villains and some of the villains turn into heroes. The story begins with a woman named Emma Swan who is the daughter of Snow White & Prince Charming. Emma was separated from parents when she was just a newborn because the Evil Queen cast a curse that ripped everyone from the Realms of stories. Now this curse, also know as The Dark Curse, took all those who were affected and separated them from their loved ones and gave them new lives in our world which is also known as the Land Without Magic in a town in Maine, called Storybrooke. When Emma was celebrating her birthday alone she is met by the son she gave up for adoption known as Henry Mills when he was just a baby.
Once Upon A Time is a marvelous show because it inspires hope that things will get better and to show us that good may not always win but they never give up. Many wonderful actors played their characters excellently like Lana Parrilla, Jennifer Morrison, Ginnifer Goodwin, Josh Dallas, Jared S. Gilmore, & Robert Carlyle. Each one showed the true meaning of what is like to be a storybook character in real life. So for Once Upon A Time I’d give it an A+ because of what it is trying to show us. No matter how dark things may get we must always have hope that things will get better.
