The setting takes place in the 1910’s when a young schoolteacher named Elizabeth Thatcher goes to teach in a small town known as Coal Valley. In Coal Valley, there was an accident in the coal mines that killed many fathers, husbands & sons. Elizabeth meets a Mountie named Jack Thorton who she soon falls in love with and within the upcoming seasons, she also makes many friends like Abigail Stanton. The whole show gives us hope and teaches us what love is like and it shows what it truely means to be a teacher. Whether you’re a friend, parent or just a teacher to your students the important thing is to be yourself and listen to your heart and let God guide your path.
